Okay, so every man (or women should I say) and his dog have done a drugstore makeup post or video… so why not read one more? In all honesty though, drugstore makeup posts are my favourite ones to read! I am a fan of lots of drugstore makeup, but for today, I’m going to list some products that I currently use, and would confidently repurchase or recommend.
Revlon Colour Stay Foundation
I have already featured this number in my humidity make up post, this is great as a cheaper alternative to the Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation.
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
This is a beloved product in the blogger/ YouTube world, unfortunately living in Hong Kong means this little beauty is not readily available. Not to worry though, I am off home in two weeks (so excited) and I will definitely be purchasing a bulk buy of this!
Makeup Revolution Ultra 32 Shade Palette Flawless Matte – available in Superdrug ( I am excited to go home to repurchase all my Superdrug favs).
This palette is very inexpensive and okay, they are not going to offer the same quality of the likes of Mac, but for the price and colour range they are definitely worth a look. I always prime my eyes before applying eyeshadow, use these with a primer and you will see a colour pay off!
Maybelline Baby Skin Primer
I find it hard to go into lots of depth when talking about a primer, but all I know about this one is I have now repurchased it three times (need I say more)!
NYX Born To Glow Liquid Illuminator
Everybody loves a good glow, who can blame us when we have Victoria Secret models all over social media. This illuminator really works and at such a reasonable price how could you refuse?
Real Technique Brushes – all their brushes (buffing brush is a particular favourite)
These brushes are a staple in my collection, at such reasonable prices there is no need to shop elsewhere for brushes. They now have such a wide variety in their range, definitely worth looking at.
Maybelline Color Tattoo 24Hr Eyeshadow
I have lots of different colours in these eyeshadows and they are a great base eyeshadow, they can also be used for an all over eyeshadow look. They are super simple, can be applied with fingers. The shimmer based ones I often use all over the eye and then usually set with similar powder eyeshadow colour, for a one colour look. With the matte range I tend to just use these as I would Mac Paint Pot, just as an eyeshadow base.
Revlon Ultra HD Lipstick
Again, these are something I have in a couple of shades. I find they are such an easy lip for days when you don’t want an intense lip colour. These are also perfect for them hot climates, they moistures your lips while adding a little touch of colour… perfection!
For anybody who believes make up has to break the bank, I hope this post has changed your mind.
You don’t have to be rich to look perfect!
I’m proud to say I’ve tried most of these! but I want to check out Nyx 🙂
