Day four is here and we are well and truly into are Christmas week! Day four brings the fantastic ladies in their 50’s and 60’s. I’ve been very excited to write for this age group as many of the special ladies in my life fall into this category, which in turn made my research much easier.

Body lotion is always a fairly safe bet as the majority of people use (or should use) body moisturiser frequently. I’ve included two different options, so if price is a factor this Christmas, you still have a luxurious choice to go for. An eye cream, that staple for any face care routine. Knowing how important it is too keep the skin around the eyes nice and firm, I have done some research into which eye creams have gained the best reviews for this age group. Below I have listed two different eye creams; one save option and one splurge.

Candles are always a safe bet for most women as a present. So for this age I have picked the brand Diptyque; a truly classy product. If you don’t want to have to decide on scent, why not stick to one of their bestsellers, Figuier / Fig Tree.

Handbags are always a lovely gift to receive, but of course it is hard to know exactly what bag somebody would like. When buying presents for my mum or friends in the past I have turned to handbags, and base my decision on two factors; their current style and what I think they need a bag for. When I asked my mum what ideas she had for this post, she said a casual weekend bag. This to her meant something smaller than a big tote, but not a little clutch bag either. I have been on the hunt for this size and style of bag and selected a couple I believe ladies will appreciate.

Slippers are definitely a common christmas present, but what’s wrong with that? If your loved one is a slipper fan, why not try a pair from the Next Slipper Mules range, they come in a wide selection of colours too!

I have found a couple of options for you to choose from, but when choosing for a loved one; just consider their complexion and style, and you can’t go far wrong.

Okay, so this is not the most exciting stocking filler, however it is practical and in England very commonly used! TKMaxx have a variety of good quality umbrellas this year, I have chosen this BENZI Black Hook Handle Umbrella as an example.

Now, if your loved one is a fan of expensive handbags or even just a bit of a Germaphobe, why not throw an Alessi “Minou” Purse Hook in their stocking. The perfect way to keep the bottom of your bag clean and protected by hanging it on any flat surface.

By this age, lots of women feel they cannot wear foundation, or simply prefer something a little lighter. Tinted moisturiser is the perfect solution to this problem! Of course you will need to take an educated guess at their shade, however if you do, this could be the perfect present.
