I am loving the return of the oversized earring! All of them Pat Butcher fans must be with me on this one. For the last few years we have seen more and more celebrities opting for ‘up hair styles’, so if you’re a fan of this look, oversized earrings could be right up your street. A perfect accent to your look; adding just a touch of detailing if you’re feeling a little plain with your hair tied up. More impressively though, is how versatile they can be. They can be worn with a number of different hairstyles and outfits; personally I wear them with both up and down looks. Here I have opted for a bardot top, with a simple necklace and an exposed neckline, these earrings are really the focal point of this outfit. I also love them styled with a plain tee and my hair in a low messy bun.
The picture may look lovely, but just 4 hours earlier and the midday heat was intense. So within a few hours, I had the hair up during the day (to beat humidity), and then let it fall in the evening when it was bearable. Tactics come into play quite often in Hong Kong, as it’s a known fact that you’re hair will never look that good. So it’s nice to have something that compliments both styles, an accessory that’s as versatile as I need to be. Personally I always feel pretty plain with my hair up, but I have to say, throwing on a pair of earrings makes me feel ready for any event!
