With the end of February fast approaching, everyone is securing their summer vacations, this means it’s time to start shopping for summer. All the shops are gradually getting more and more spring stock. With less than five weeks till I fly to Malaysia for my wedding, I have been searching the internet for my own summer clothes. I have compiled a list of some of my favourite pieces I have seen so far.
Of course there is still lots of stock to hit the shops, but with my wedding and honeymoon fast approaching I have had to get started early.
Dresses
Dresses for me are the easiest clothing to take on holiday, they require much less thought and take up less room than separates. The best dresses to look out for are ones that can be worn casually in the day and dressed up easily of a night!
Topshop Cutabout Stripe Midi Dress
This dress would be perfect for any evening, it’s floaty which makes it perfect for those hot, humid climates.
I love a white cover up, and this one is no exception! This would be a great beach dress and look fantastic with a tan… wishful thinking on my part!
This amazing little dress would be a perfect piece to take on holiday with you, it would look great both day and night. Diversity it the key, especially when you are trying to stay below 20 kilograms.
Once again another diverse piece, this one would look great day or night or even for a hot city break! Pair this with a big hat and a straw bag and you are ready for the South of France.
Topshop Molly Side Button Slip Dress
I love the look of this dress with heeled mules, however that’s not to say paired with flats in the day wouldn’t look equally as gorgeous.
Shoes
If you want to mix things up a little, these shoes would be a great alternative to your usual sandals. They would look great with any plain summer dress, day or night!
For the past two years I have been seeing the braided sandal look pop up everywhere, and this year Mango have produced a perfect pair.
If you are looking for something a little more out there than your usual plain mule, then these Topshop beauties are the pair for you. They could certainly add edge to any plain dress!
Mules are everywhere this summer, but I LOVE this pair by Mango, the square toe is what sets this pair apart! These could be the perfect pair of evening shoes paired with any dress on holiday.
Mango Flowered Heel Leather Sandals
Still loving the square toe, this pair of Mango heels is definitely like no other, the heel is amazing! This shoe screams Spring!
Bags
Zara Straw Bag with Rounded Handles
They were everywhere last summer and are again this summer … the straw bags! If you had one last year then it’s time to bring it back out; if you didn’t, I have you covered! I have selected a few of my favourite straw bags, all of varied shapes and sizes.
Zara Large Round Raffia Tote Bag
Minaudiere Bag With Braided Handle
This little rectangle bag would be the perfect bag for the evenings on holiday, you could wear it both cross bag or by the little rounded handle.
We have been seeing the famous Staud Moreau Bucket Bag everywhere over the blogosphere, this Mango dupe looks amazing for a fifth of the price.
Accessories
Earrings are essential when I am packing my holiday case, they can dress up one of your day time dresses, making it perfect for the evening. Also when on holiday I’m much more inclined to wear my hair up, so earrings can really jazz up my otherwise boring, lazy holiday hair.
Zara Earrings with Dangling Stones
I hope you enjoyed this blog post, and found it helpful for your own holiday shopping. As I have been shopping both online and in stores, be sure to follow my Instagram to see all of the new pieces I have bought and how I style them up.
As always ladies, happy shopping!
